Concluding

As seen in my posts and by the knowledge and judgement of each person a barbie body shape is impossible to happen. No matter how much someone works out, no matter if they go on an exhausting diet, Barbie's shape is not possible to happen.
You would think that every person would agree with that, logical thinking provides that Barbie is gust fiction and everything related to her is fiction as well.
Although, there are women around the world that think that through any ways they cold achieve her body shape.
Since that is impossible to happen we see examples of unhealthy ways to do that risking their lives.
Moreover, children that do not yet have such ideas, observe Barbie and think that the nice thing for them is to be super skinny proportionally perfect in order to be considered pretty.
This has got to stop.
Women and children need to accept themselves the way they are and never try to be someone else, something that our society imposes on us.
The will and the strength for that will be provided by their family.
Therefore, this is mainly a warning for parents.
Protect your children.
This is the end of  my blog.
Let's hope that through my posts a lesson is taught to all of us.

Are your measurements right in order to become a Barbie?

Continuing our research on how a real person would look like in Barbie's measurement I have come across these pictures. The first one we need to examine is that one:
The woman's body is diagrammed in the way that it should be in order to fit Barbie's measurements.
We can observe from bottom to top that her waist would have to shrink extremely reaching almost her belly button, her arms should be the half of their ordinary size, her breasts would have to be smaller and pointing up, her neck would have to be a lot thinner and longer. Her face seems not to be correct as well. She would have to have a thinner chin, her cheeks would have to be thinner as well and her eyes and eyebrows are obviously in he wrong position.
That is what Barbie's manufacturers suggest. That our body, the one we were born with is not the correct one, the beautiful one, the one we should have.

Let us take a look at another image I have come across.
As we can here is a study of the average measurement of US women compared to the measurement of a Barbie. Let us examine them one by one.
Barbie's neck is 9'' tall when a real woman's is 15''.
Barbie's biceps are 7'' thin when a real woman's is 13''.
Barbie's forearms are 6'' thin when a real woman's is 11''.
Barbie's wrist is 3.5'' thin when a real woman's is 6.5''.
Barbie's waist is 16'' thin when a real woman's is 35''.
Barbie's hips are 29'' thin when a real woman's is 40''.
Barbie's thigh is 16'' thin when a real woman's is 25''.

Is that a healthy image to promote to our children?
I think not.

What if?

So far we have seen how Barbie's are manufactured with no real-life measurements.
Let us take a look on how Barbie dolls would look if they were made on the basis of real measurements of the average of women population.
Now, when we see both dolls standing next to each other, we can say that the one on the right (the way we look at the picture) is the one looking more healthy than the other one.
She is not overweight, she is not THAT short, her breasts have the normal size as a regular woman's do her neck is not that prolonged and her belly is flat as well and curvy on the side. That is how a big majority of women look like. Next to her the real Barbie doll looks "extraterestrial"
in a way but also since we have been used to her she also seems pretty (let us not lie to ourselves).
The point of this study though is not to determine which is prettier but to show ho far away Barbie's depiction is of a real person's one.
The unhealthy body shape that Barbie is promoting has nothing to do with women in our days and we can safely say that the differences are VAST!
There have been studies where real women's faces next to a Barbie ones indicate how scary this twisting of the body shape that Barbie is promoting can get.

PS. For the meantime I am presenting more pictures of the study

Real Life Barbie

Let us take a look at a picture I am sure you are all familiar with. Do you recognize this lady?

No?
How about now.
You do now don't you?
Yes you are correct she is the woman that got globally famous by her desire of becoming a Barbie herself. She has gone under numerous plastic surgery in order to achieve that. She had surgery in order to shrink her waist, she had surgery in order to enlarge her breasts, she had surgery in order to make her cheeks look bigger and her eyes as well, she had surgery on her bottom in order for it to look bigger. Thee are little things on her that are actually natural. Although she does not seem to admit that she did these in order to look more like a Barbie.
But take a look at her next to a Barbie doll:
Does she look normal at all to you?
That is how a real life Barbie would like. And I can safely say that she is not pretty because not all Barbie's elements look good on a real life person.
There have been studies and researches that have shown us how a real Barbie would like.
Are you interested in finding out?

Barbie dolls

Since I can remember myself playing with Barbie dolls (I have to admit they were my favorite and still are) their body shape looks almost the same with no major differences over the years.
Without even looking at a doll all girls are able to describe how she looks : her hair is always long enough and stunningly blond, she has beautiful make up in her face and blue eyes, she is extremely thin at a point were her waist is pointed on the inside of her body figure and she has long thin legs.
Let's take a look at a picture:
The dolls measurements seem to be perfect to us. But can they happen in real life? Could we ever find a woman that has these measurements without the help of plastic surgery?
The answer is no. That is not possible.
Although everyone is aware of that there are so many girls around the world that try really hard to look like Barbie. The go on extreme diets in order to obtain her waist and thin legs, they color their hair and wear extensions and the deform themselves in order to look alike with their favorite doll.
The main question to ask is: IS THAT HEALTHY?
Girls going on extreme diets and trying to obtain that supernatural body that is not possible, no that is not at all healthy. Despite that girls still get obsessed with that image and even though they are well aware that one could not achieve that body they try so hard putting their body under this incredible stress and extreme diets as well as exhausting working out, ending up sick and in the borders of anorexia.
Therefore, a Barbie doll that we so willingly play with or give as presents to people we love aka our children are not that much of a healthy image to follow.
There have been cases that show people's efforts to look like their favorite doll.

The aim of this blog

The aim of this bog is to deeply research on how girl's favorite toy around the world, Barbie dolls and movies that are introduced to our children worldwide, are shaping their thinking on making them want to look exactly like Barbie. And if so, whether that is a healthy image to look up to.
It is a good thing for a kid to have someone to look up to and admire as long as this someone is a healthy image that our children will not have issues in trying to look alike.
There has been a whole fuss about Barbie dolls and on how they fail to promote a healthy stereotype to kids since their measurements are insane, they wear make-up all the time, their hair are anything but natural and overall it is a doll that is believed to be a not so correct stereotype for kids to follow.
In this blog we will try to examine as deep as possible how Barbie dolls are in fact an unhealthy image for kids.
Moreover, we might as well look at examples of people that have gone through a lot in order to look exactly like Barbie, we will see such cases to make us better comprehend why the doll is so much attacked in that area.
We will look at movies and dolls and everything related to the healthy image that Barbie does not promote.
Stay tuned!
